Maria Vanegas

Maria Vanegas is our passionate intake coordinator who joined Hope with a heart for helping others. Originally from Colombia, Maria earned her degree in Public Health with a minor in Psychology from Texas A&M University. As someone who enjoys connecting with people and learning about diverse cultures, Maria's path to counseling was shaped by her academic journey and the realization that her true calling lay in helping others navigate life's challenges.
Currently, Maria is pursuing her Master's degree in Clinical Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary, with the goal of becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Her journey into counseling began in college when she discovered her deep passion for providing support and guidance to those in need.
Beyond her work at Hope, Maria enjoys staying active by working out, playing sports like, pickleball, going on walks, and meeting up with friends for coffee. She is Bilingual. brings a unique perspective to her work and is committed to creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels heard and valued. With a natural talent for administration and planning, Maria ensures our office runs smoothly and efficiently, always with a welcoming smile.
